Every November, the people of Pudsey and Farsley gather to stand shoulder to shoulder in remembrance – to reflect, to give thanks, and to honour all those who have served and sacrificed for our country.
Across generations, remembrance continues to hold a special place in our community. From the veterans who proudly wear their medals, to the children laying wreaths on behalf of their schools, and the families who pause in silence – each person plays a part in ensuring that the memories and lessons of the past are never forgotten.
This year’s Remembrance Sunday falls on 9th November 2025, with services and parades taking place in both Pudsey and Farsley. Together, we’ll once again come together to remember the fallen, support the living, and reaffirm the enduring spirit of remembrance that binds our towns every year.

Advice for attendees
Please note that veterans from our local care homes will be in attendance. An area of the car park will be reserved for their wheelchairs and buggies to allow clear visual access to the service. We kindly ask that all attendees help by keeping this area clear.
The car park at the top of South Parade will be closed during the morning for setup and to ensure a safe space around the Cenotaph. Please plan ahead and allow extra time for parking or drop-offs.
Our event photographer will be positioned at the front of the Cenotaph to document the occasion. We apologise in advance if this limits visibility for some attendees.

Farsley – Afternoon service of remembrance
In the afternoon, a Service of Remembrance will take place at the Farsley Cenotaph from 1:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend, with those joining asked to gather from around 1:20 pm.
Anyone wishing to gather at the memorial earlier in the day to observe the 11 am silence is also very welcome.
An Order of Service is available to download ahead of the day – we encourage attendees to bring their own copy to ensure everyone can follow the service.

Pudsey Armistice Day service
There will also be a short Armistice Day service at the Pudsey Cenotaph on Tuesday 11th November, beginning at 10:55 am (please arrive by 10:45 am). Local schools and those unable to attend the weekend events are especially encouraged to join us for this act of remembrance.
An Order of Service is available to download ahead of the day – we encourage attendees to bring their own copy to ensure everyone can follow the service.

Road closures and access
To allow the parade and services to take place safely, there will be temporary road closures around Pudsey town centre, including sections of Church Lane and South Parade. These closures will be in effect during the morning of Sunday 9th November and lifted once the parade concludes.
We ask that all drivers respect the closures and follow the directions of stewards and volunteers on the day.
Coming together as a community
Remembrance is about more than the wreaths and parades – it’s about community, gratitude, and reflection. Every year we’re humbled by the turnout from across Pudsey, Farsley and beyond – from veterans and serving personnel to cadets, families, and schoolchildren.
We invite everyone to take part, wear their poppy with pride, and help us ensure the sacrifices of the past are never forgotten.
Lest We Forget. 🌹
