On Saturday 31 October 2026 at 2.30pm, Pudsey & Farsley Royal British Legion will mark the 70th anniversary of the beginning of British and French military operations during the Suez Crisis.
We will come together in remembrance of the sailors, soldiers and airmen who served during the conflict, including the many National Servicemen who found themselves deployed thousands of miles from home.
The anniversary also has a personal connection to our branch through the late Derrick, father of branch member Steve, who was a Pudsey resident and served during Suez.
Seventy years on, we remember all those who served.
